Dom Wilde

Dom Wilde

CEO

Dom Wilde joined SnapRoute in March, 2018 and brings with him a strong leadership background and a proven record of delivering quality products and delighting customers.

Dom has over 25 years of networking industry experience, and is a frequent industry speaker and eternally curious technology enthusiast.  He has a track record of senior management roles that spans numerous startups and large public companies in the networking and security arena including HPE, 3Com, Nevis Networks, Madge Networks and Marconi Systems.  Most recently Dom was VP & GM of the Data Center Networking Business Unit at HPE, where he led the strategy to acquire Aruba Networks, was principle in the spin-merge of H3C in China, and forged key strategic partnerships with Arista Networks and Accton/Edgecore Networks.

Dom holds an HND in Computer Science from Portsmouth Polytechnic in the UK and has been meaning to go back and finish his degree for 30 years, but interesting technology and business problems keep getting in the way.

Adam Casella

Adam Casella

Co-Founder

Adam Casella co-founded SnapRoute in August, 2015, where he is responsible for setting technical direction and ensuring the operator’s perspective is always seen. Adam’s background of supporting networking products as a vendor, paired with his operational experience running large-scale data center networks gives him a unique perspective on how to build reliable, resilient, and easy-to-use products. Adam is an authority on both dissaggregated and traditional networking technologies and especially their use in hyperscale spine/leaf CLOS designs and topologies.

Prior to founding SnapRoute, Adam was responsible for designing and building hyperscale data center networks at Apple. This included the full spectrum of operations from product evaluation, proof-of-concept labs, overall topology design, configuration schemes, device deployment, and maintenance.

Before Apple, Adam was a lead engineer in Cisco’s TAC on the LAN and Data Center Switching teams – giving him deep insight on silicon pipelines, hardware and software architecture, and a strong background in debugging and troubleshooting complex, multi-faceted technical issues.

Adam has a BS in Network and Systems Administration from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).

Glenn Sullivan

Co-Founder

Glenn Sullivan co-founded SnapRoute in August, 2015, where he is responsible for product direction by advocating for the end-user. Glenn’s experience as an operator of hyperscale data center networks, along with a strong background of technical support gives him a unique skillset for delivering quality customer experiences. Glenn has particular expertise in network operations, automation, and utilizing DevOps practices for disaggregated and legacy networking components.

Prior to founding SnapRoute, Glenn was responsible for building out hyperscale data center environments at Apple. In addition to core network operational functions, Glenn led efforts to automate the life-cycle management of various platforms in a multi-vendor environment.

Before Apple, Glenn was a specialist support engineer on the LAN Switching team in Cisco TAC. While there, his speciality was in turning around customer sentiment by focusing on escalated issues and transforming the customer experience into a positive one.

Glenn has a BS in Network and Systems Administration from RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).

Tim Chao

SVP, Engineering

Tim Chao joined SnapRoute in October, 2017 as the Senior VP of Engineering – responsible for all things R&D. Tim has a proven track record of leading engineering organizations of all shapes and sizes – driving them to success by delivery products of the highest quality.  With over 25 years of industry experience, Tim guides his teams with time-tested wisdom and injects a passion and excitement into everything that he does.  Tim started his career at AMD, 3Com, and Alteon before helping to forge the highly-successful engineering team at Blade Network Technologies.  Blade would go on to be acquired by IBM and eventually Tim would land at Lenovo – where Tim served as an executive overseeing development and test of hardware and software for data center networking.  Coming to SnapRoute from Lenovo – Tim has embraced his startup roots where he can help engineers demonstrate their true potential and mentor the future leadership of an organization. Tim has a BS in Physics from National Cheng Kung University and a Masters in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.

Alan Miller

Director, Finance & Ops

Joining SnapRoute in January, 2017 Alan Miller is the Director of Finance and Operations. Prior to joining SnapRoute, Alan has held key finance positions at Pure Storage, Elemental Technologies, Palo Alto Networks, and NetApp.

Alan holds a BS in both Business Management and Corporate Finance from San Jose State University.

Stephanie Vinella

Consulting CFO

Joining SnapRoute in September, 2017 Stephanie Vinella serves as the consulting Chief Financial Officer. With over 25 years of financial management and operations experience, Stephanie is a go-to expert for all things financial. Stephanie has helped numerous high-growth technology companies by developing tactical and strategic financial plans. Additionally, her experience with handling high-impact strategic transactions proves to be a valuable asset. Stephanie has held CFO positions at Badgeville, Panasas, Nextance, Alphablox, and Edify – where she managed their IPO. Stephanie holds a BS in Accounting from the University of San Francisco and an MBA from Stanford University.

Philippe Michelet

Philippe Michelet

VP, Product Management

Philippe Michelet joined SnapRoute in September, 2018 where he is leading the Product Management activities as VP. Philippe’s background includes presales roles at Bay Networks and Nortel Networks, Senior Product Management at Nortel and 3Com, concluding with Director of Product Management at HPE, before joining SnapRoute. This gives him a thorough understanding of today’s modern data center requirements and their requirements in the future. He has experience with all levels of scale – from the top 7 largest data center operators to the smallest environments with hybrid deployments.

While at HPE, Philippe launched FlexFabric – a converged infrastructure solution that offers disaggregated networking in parallel with a more traditional offering. This deployment strategy remains the foundation for many Enterprise, Telco, and Cloud Service Providers to this day. With a career focus on security and management, he holds several key patents in these areas: 8707395, 20070011725, 20070169171, and 20150113143. Philippe earned his Bachelors in Software Engineering and a Specialized Masters from the Institut National des Télécommunications.

John Vrionis joined SnapRoute’s Board of Directors at its founding and has been a key member of the team, since the beginning. Currently, John is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Unusual Ventures and is now a Venture Partner at Lightspeed, where he was a General Partner before founding Unusual Ventures. John has a proven track record of early stage investment in disruptive companies including Affirmed Networks, Applatix, Athos, Arctic Wolf Networks, Ascend.io, Barefoot Networks, Chalk Schools, CloudBees, Datastax, Datrium, Drone Citadel, Haven Money, Heptio, Kespry, Looking Glass, Streamlio and Vexata. Additionally, John has invested in many companies that have gone on to IPO (Mulesoft and Nimble Storage) or have very successful exits – AppDynamics (acquired by Cisco), Nicira (acquired by VMware), Pliant (acquired by SanDisk), Pushpins (acquired by Ebates), and IO Turbine (acquired by FIO).

Rama Shekhar joined SnapRoute’s Board of Directors in February, 2017, where he brings a strong background of growing companies at all stages with his venture investment experience in cloud, big data, DevOps, cybersecurity and networking.

Rama has also invested in Agari, Bitglass, ClearDATA, Dremio, Qubole, TRUSTID, Morta Security (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), Pertino Networks (acquired by Cradlepoint), and Exablox (acquired by StorageCraft).

Joe Sexton

Joe Sexton joined SnapRoute’s Board of Directors in November, 2016 – since then he has provided key insight into what is needed to grow to the next stage. Joe most recently served as the the president of AppDynamics – which has since been acquired by Cisco for $3.7B. In addition to AppDynamics, Joe has held key sales positions at McAfee, Mercury Interactive, and Computer Associates. Joe also sits on the board of CrowdStrike and on the Executive Advisory Board of PagerDuty.

Bethany Mayer

Bethany Mayer joined SnapRoute’s Board of Directors in May, 2018, where her depth of knowledge in networking has proven to be a valuable addition to the team. Bethany is the former CEO of Ixia, the market leader in test, visibility and security solutions. During her tenure at Ixia, Bethany drove the growth of the company leading to a successful sale of the company to Keysight Technologies, Inc. Bethany has over 25 years of experience in industry-leading technology companies including Ixia, HP, Blue Coat Systems, Cisco, and Apple. In addition to SnapRoute, Bethany sits on the board of Pulse Secure, Marvell, and Sempra Energy.

Rashmi Gopinath

Rashmi Gopinath

Rashmi Gopinath leads enterprise software investments for M12 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, Rashmi was an Investment Director at Intel Capital and has also led global business development for several startups, namely Couchbase and BlueData.

As a board observer for SnapRoute, Rashmi provides guidance and feedback based on her experiences with helping startups grow. Her vast network and ability to connect like-minded individuals continues to benefit the leadership team.

Chris Rice

Chris Rice is Senior Vice President of AT&T Labs, Domain 2.0 Architecture and Design, responsible for delivering the architecture and design of AT&T’s software-centric network.

As a board observer for SnapRoute, Chris Rice provides feedback, guidance, and support to the board and leadership team – with his breadth of operational experience. His expertise in networking at scale provides key insights into the challenges that large service providers face.
